Activities for the development of specific skills related to the use of Spanish in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
Workshop
Spanish students per class (1-15) Time (One 50 minute class)
Each day the workshop focuses on developing and reinforcing one of the four basic skills, through such activities as guided field trips (stressing listening skills), reading newspapers and short stories, directed conversation about these activities, cultural presentations including active interviewing of the speakers by students. All workshop sessions aim to help students use what they have learned in their formal classes to communicate more naturally, in a real though still structured context, serving as a bridge to the real-life speaking situations provided by our extracurricular programs.
