In order to reach Chalchihuites by plane, students may fly first to Mazatlan or Guadalajara and then to Durango. They also may fly first to Mexico City and then to Durango (Aeromexico airline), or to Zacatecas (Mexicana airline). You also can fly from Los Angeles, California, to Zacatecas City. From Durango or Zacatecas students can take a bus directly to Chalchihuites (in the Central Camionera). Or to Vicente Guerrero or Sombrerete and then another bus from there to Chalchihuites.
